Company & licensing
SSP Mining Company Limited is a Tanzanian mineral extraction, processing and export company working across gold, coal and precious gemstones, with its own engineering, processing and haulage teams.
Yes. Every site we operate runs under valid Tanzanian mining licences, and all exports are accompanied by the required government permits and export documentation.
Our licence areas cover Nzega, Chunya, Ruangwa, Ruvuma, Tunduru and Nachingwea, with logistics running to the deep-water Port of Mtwara.
Minerals & quality
Gold doré from our own extraction and processing circuits, washed thermal coal, and rough sapphire, garnet and tourmaline from our gemstone operations.
Material is sampled, processed and graded in-house, then independently assayed or certified before dispatch. Buyers receive the assay or grading certificate with every parcel.
Yes. We arrange pre-shipment inspection at our processing yards, and welcome buyer-appointed inspectors or SGS-style third-party verification.
Orders, logistics & visits
Coal is contracted in vessel or truck lots, gold in agreed doré parcels, and gemstones by certified lot. Exact minimums are set per contract — contact our trading desk for current terms.
We do. Our own fleet of tippers and low-beds moves cargo from the licence area to Mtwara Port, and our compliance team manages the export documentation end to end.
Site-to-port haulage typically runs within days of loading; sailing time then depends on destination and vessel schedule. Every contract carries an agreed shipment window.
Yes. Site visits are arranged for serious buyers and partners, subject to safety induction and advance scheduling with our operations team.
Safety, environment & community
All personnel work under mandatory PPE and induction rules, with daily toolbox briefings, supervised blasting and regular equipment inspections across every pit.
We follow progressive rehabilitation on mined-out benches, manage water and dust on active sites, and operate within the environmental conditions attached to each licence.
We prioritise local hiring and suppliers in every licence area and run community programmes alongside our operations in the districts where we mine.
